On 21 May, a videoconference was held to discuss initiatives for cooperation between the Dutch-Russian Law Association (DRLA) and the North-West Branch of the Russian State University of Justice in Saint Petersburg (RPMU). On behalf of RPMU, RPMU’s director Professor Yaroslav Zholobov, deputy director Alexandra Dorskaya and assistant director Rimma Antonova, and on behalf of DRLA of Ruth and Liudmila van der Pol participated in the videoconference.
It was agreed to jointly organize a session on modern Civil Law from a comparative (Russian and Dutch) perspective with the participation of prominent Russian and Dutch lawyers, who will shed their light on this topic. This session will be part of an online international legal conference, which RPMU will be organizing next autumn (25-26 September 2020).
For more information and to register for the event, please check the RPMU-website (in Russian). Shortly, the Dutch participants will be announced here. This initiative fits very well in the longstanding Dutch-Russian academic cooperation on civil law, that has started in the nineties and led to many fruitful projects and contacts.
