Season’s Greetings from the DRLA!
As the year 2021 draws to a close we would like to take a moment for sharing a few thoughts with you.
In spite of the protracted Covid-19 restrictions which made in person meetings impossible we were able to hold two symposiums – one in June on access to information and one in December on general principles of administrative law. Both symposiums had a comparative law character in which Russian and Dutch experts gave a presentation.
Further, individual members participated on line in Russian law conferences or other events like moot arbitrations organized by Russian universities and academic institutes, like the Centre for Private Law in Moscow.
We are very glad having started 2021 with a partly new board consisting of Marit van Zandvoort, Rens Groen and Wim Timmermans.
As it looks as if we will have to live with Covid-19 restrictions in 2022, too, we will continue organizing online events in the new year. We have plans for another symposium in June but also a series of online lectures by Russian and Dutch lawyers. Furthermore, we will focus on an extension of membership, in particular, among Russian lawyers, and a thorough review of our website. And it speaks for itself that as soon as mutual visits will be possible again, we will be open to meet Russian colleagues in person.
С новым годом! Берегите себя и своих близких. Желаем Вам крепкого здоровья, счастья и удачи!
